Fall of The Tyrant

A group-made game by PantherDev

  • Fall of the Tyrant was a concept based off of one of his D&D campaigns he played with friends. While, the old Zelda and dark souls games inspired the gameplay. The concept, world, and story were created by Isaac Byrd, who lead the overall game development.

  • I worked as one of four writers, helping to create and flesh out characters, dialogue, item descriptions, and the intro to the game, which was based off of the intro to popular game Elden Ring.

Writing Pieces:

Her Canvas

Her face was a canvas. Her hands kept steady and meticulous in each stroke with her little gold-rimmed oil-painted brush. Her palette was an assortment of pastel powders: sun bleaches, sandpapers, chestnuts, cacaos, and truffles. Her choice of color matching her tone, or her mood, or her outfit, or the weather, or the season if she felt it appropriate. Her cabinet lined itself to the brim with designer lipsticks, perfume bottles in a plethora of shapes, eyeliners, mascaras, and lotions. Her tools of trade became second nature to her, no more so of a nature more natural to her than she felt without them.

Indeed, her face was a canvas which did not come blank, but with curves, and edges, and wrinkles, and marks, blemishes, grooves, splits, cracks, creeses, and contours. Her art was of hiding all this, hiding the things she found out of place upon her face. A face she hid so well that she did not know when she began to call it a canvas but knew only that it looked not at all familiar. So, her hands kept steady and meticulous on her face that was more of a canvas than a face.

  • Her Canvas is an excerpt from a constellation of pieces in my work "On the Conditionals of Being"
